What inspired you to go and pay our partners at Laika a visit?

Spending time in other parts of the world has always appealed to me, so when we were told about the agencies in the L’Attitude network and offered the opportunity to go and visit them for ourselves, I jumped at the chance. I was instantly drawn to Laika in Berlin. Their in-house photography offering really interested me, as I’ve wanted to develop my own photography and editing skills for a long time. I also know some conversational German, so hopefully that will come in handy.

What are you most excited about?

The thing that I am most excited about is being able to develop my skills in a new environment. I think it’s important to have a change of scenery from time to time and being in a new country, having the chance to learn from the team at Laika and seeing how they do things will certainly do the trick!

Is there anything you’re nervous about?

I think it’s natural to be nervous about entering a new environment, but this is a really exciting opportunity to meet others from within the L’Attitude network. That excitement is certainly stronger than any nervousness!

To be completely honest, I’m most nervous about navigating the public transport! The idea of getting on the tram and ending up in the wrong place is terrifying to me but I am looking forward to conquering my fears.

What are you hoping to get out of your time there?

During my time at Laika I hope to meet some incredible people, learn new skills, develop my German and try some tasty food along the way!

How do you think it will change your outlook on the world of PR?

PR is different everywhere you go and with everything you do, so I’m excited to learn the processes and techniques used in not only another agency, but in another country. I’m sure there will be plenty of learnings that I can bring back with me.

What are you most excited about doing in your spare time whilst in Germany?

I’m incredibly excited to be immersing myself in a different culture, trying new foods and meeting new people. Not many people have access to this sort of perk and I can’t wait to get on that plane.
